Head and mainstay of the band The Roots. He is originally from Plonsk. Spends his free time at the shooting range and playing video games. A big fan of Guy Ritchie films. He graduated with a degree in advertising and marketing, but it was in working behind the bar that he found his true calling.
He has been associated with the Warsaw gastronomy since 2009. Enthusiast of white spirits such as vodka, calirin, gin and tequila.
He has an equally great affection for wines, especially betting on continental ones. In addition, he puts a premium on pairing cocktails with food. Over the years, he has led tastings and team-building trainings.
Christopher’s big dream is to skydive in an Iron Man costume.
He is one of the bartenders behind the reopening of The Roots in 2023.
Originally from the south of Poland, Alek grew up in Bydgoszcz. Although he took up gastronomy quite by accident, he has been actively participating in the development of the Polish bar scene since 2012. He has visited many venues across the country, eager to share his vast knowledge of whisky and sensory cuisine.
He participated in a countless number of tastings, trainings and events. He eventually began conducting them himself, making him an inspiration to many bartenders.
He began his service at The Roots in the second half of August 2023,
where he quickly found his place.
Privately, he has a master’s degree in history and a columnist fascinated by medieval northerners. He runs his project called Shadows of History. In addition, he is a huge fan of fantasy and heavy music, plays guitar and enjoys sipping dry cocktails.
He also has a wonderful cat – Olgierd.
